Akbay Tekstil was established in the Underground Bazaar of Aksaray, which was the most popular shopping center of the period, in Aksaray, İstanbul, in 1982. Its founder Ayhan Akbay increased the number of his retail stores with the success that he attained in a short time in the men’s ready-to-wear industry and he also opened the first wholesale sales store in Osmanbey, İstanbul, in 1992.

Having maintained its successful progress in the retail and wholesale men’s ready-to-wear industry, Akbay Tekstil created the brand Buenza with its experience of 20 years and its second generation representatives in 2002.
